Light, Airy Beach Theme Bathroom

This kids' bath is also the guest bath of this home, so it needed to be easy to take care of with a style that's not too adult and not too juvenile. We chose a beach-y theme for the overall style. For everyday, the kids can use bright beach towels and sand pails with their toiletries for the tub & shower; a quick change of towels makes it company-ready in a flash. The bath was reconfigured by using a small empty chase in an adjacent space. That allowed us to turn the tub 90 degrees, and relocate the toilet to make room for a double sink vanity with a rustic finish. The accent mosaic tile in the splash & tub is a mix of tumbled stone & glass with tiny seashells & seahorses embedded in it. This set the overall color palette for the room. Everything is easy care: the porcelain tile walls & floor and the quartz counter top. Even the custom painted drum light fixture was sprayed with waterproofing sealer for easy care.
